Sam Griggs and Laura (Kehoe) Joined in Marriage

Mr. Sam Griggs and Laura Kehoe were united in matrimony this past Saturday, January 25, 2009, in Suffield, Connecticut. Sam is currently on staff as part-time worship pastor at the Fulton Heartland church and is the son of Mr. & Rev. Steve & Cheri Griggs (Cheri is currently the children's pastor at Arnold and Missouri District Children's Director). They met while attending Olivet Nazarene University. Congratulations!

Cal Callender Accepts Church in Texas

Rev. Cal and Ceresa Callender, former youth pastors at St. Louis Gateway Central, have accepted the call to Big Springs, TX as their senior pastor. They will start there around the first of February. Cal has also served as the Missouri District NYI president for the past year and a half. They, along with their daughter, Morgan, will be greatly missed on the Missouri District, but we wish them all God's best in their new assignment.

Rev. Greg Gilberto (Pastor, Poplar Bluff), who has served as the district NYI vice-president, will now fulfill the duties of district NYI president until the NYI district convention in August.

Special Prayer Needed for Adele Storkson

Adele Storkson (Pastor’s Wife, Montgomery City) has had emergency surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was on a trip when, due to extreme abdominal pain, she had to be removed from the plane and taken to a hospital. Brother Sam has specifically asked that the district pray that Adele will be able to get some good sleep at night. She will have to stay there in Salt Lake City until at least January 31st.

The Montgomery City church has made it possible for Brother Sam to leave today (Friday) for St. Lake City to be with her. Thank you for your prayers on her behalf.

Update - Monday, February 2, 2009: "I am happy to report that Adele is home as of 10 pm Sunday night, February 1st ... She is still experiencing quite a bit of pain, and, of course, a sense of uncertainty about the future. Please DO continue to pray for Adele’s restoration to health and wholeness. We DO thank the district ministers and lay people for their prayers and loving kindnesses in remembering my wife before GOD. Rev. Van Williams To Pastor Mountain View

Rev. Van Williams and his wife, Debbie, have accepted the church at Mountain View. His first official Sunday there was, January 11th. The Williams also pastored the Farmington church on the Missouri District from 1989 until 1993. Welcome back!

Rev. Jeff Dillow Hired as New Life's Worship Pastor

Rev. Jeff and Moriah Dillow have been hired by the O'Fallon New Life Church as the church's new Worship Pastor. The Dillows moved to the St. Louis area from Girard, KS. Their first Sunday at New Life was January 4th. Welcome!
