Crossroads Hosts Healing Mission

Pastor Ron Hershberger reports that their annual Healing Mission with Dr. John David Hicks was a great boost for their church. In a Sunday through Wednesday meeting, over 50 came forward for healing with many confirmations during and after prayer. Healings ranged from deafness to pain, depression, fibromyalgia, arthritis, etc. There were 10 conversions or renewed commitments to Jesus Christ. Their attendance started out very good and improved each evening and ended with over 60 by the concluding service. He wants to thanks all those who attended from 5 neighboring Nazarene congregations.

He concluded with an update about their new location, "Our new building is serving us well. New people are coming every week now. We just built some new rooms. We are planning on opening the pre-school academy January 3rd."

Prayer Request For Kara Blankenship

Rev. Brian and Sherri Blankenship, pastor and wife of our Sikeston Eastside church, has asked that we please pray for thier daughter, Kara. She has been diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation of the Brain, Type II. In Chari Malformations an excess of cerebellar(from the cerebellum) known as the cerebellar tonsils extends down through the opening into the upper portion of the spinal canal. When this happens these cerebellar tonsils put pressure on the brain stem and spinal cord. Kara has problems with neck and shoulder pain, and with blurred vision(and eyes that bounce up and down). They will meet with the neurologist on Dec. 4th to determine the extent of the problem (she will have two tests), and find out what the options are (mostly surgery). Please pray for God's complete healing for our daughter. Thanks you.

iPod Update from The Barkers!

Terry and Diane Barker, our missionaries to Ethiopia, sent in an iPod update: "I thought that I would email you a picture of the first iPods going out. Now to be honest these are not the actual people that they are given to. You can understand that we cannot spread the photos of actual underground evangelists. Nevertheless, the iPods are going out and we are grateful to the Missouri District for all their support."

During the NMI convention last August, our churches pledged over $23,000 for the Jesus Film project in Ethiopia! One man pledged to personally pay for 10 iPods for underground evangelists and at the Ladies retreat in September the women gave another $1,500 to buy even more iPods.
