Missouri MNU Students Leave for Europe

Pictured is Chris Kyonka, son of Kurt and Rev. Jaime Kyonka of Harvestor, and Michael Palmer, son of District Superintendent Mike and Mary Palmer, as they were preparing to leave for European Nazarene Bible College, Switzerland for the 2nd semester. They are both students at Mid-America Nazarene University and will be spending 4 months at ENBC continuing their preparation for full time ministry. Please pray for them as well our other two other young Missourians Andria McMillan is teaching Belize and Ginger Wood, daughter of Rev. Ralph and Debbie Wood, who is teaching in Quito, Ecuador this year. We are proud of all four of these young people and look forward to what the Lord has planned for them through these experiences.

Annapolis Church Celebrates New Building

The Annopolis Church, under the ministry of Rev. Clarence Casteel, has moved into their new facility. They sold their previous building to the city. Rev. Casteel has been the pastor at Annapolis since August 1964.

Faith Stear Attends Third Wave Conference in Africa

Faith Stear, daughter of Pastors Dennis and Becky Stear (St. Louis Southwest) attended the 2nd Third Wave conference last week in Johannesburg, South Africa. Third Wave is a global leadership conference for youth ages 16-29 who display leadership potential. The purpose of this conference was to develop strong Christian leaders with a global perspective. Participants were selected from each of the seven world regions: Africa, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America, Eurasia, South America, and the United States of America/Canada. Dan and Janet Reinhart (St. Louis Southwest) were also there as part of the global leadership team.

Nearly 100 MO Teens To Attend NYC 2007

Mark West, Missouri District NYC Coordinator, reports that nearly 100 teen from across the Missouri District has signed up to attend this summer’s NYC event to be held in St. Louis. This is a quadrennial vent sponsored by Church of the Nazarene. For most teens, this is a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Dr. Larry Fine To Speak At March POP

Dr. Fine, esteemed professor at MNU, will be speaking at the next POP, to be held on March 27th. Dr. Fine has been professor at MNU for over 35 years and is one of the most respected professors on campus. Besides teaching at MNU, he is also on staff at a local church there in the Kansas City area. "POP" stands for "Pastoring on Purpose" and are semi-annual seminars held in the St. Louis area in the spring and the fall. He will be speaking on the topic of spiritual formation.
