Shonda Broach Undergoes Chemotherapy

Shonda Broach, our pastor's wife from House Springs, has requested prayer for herself and her family during her chemotherapy, which started yesterday, March 1st. She did have her second cancer surgery two week ago and she reports she did fine. She specifically asked that our office would pass along her thanks to everyone on the district for your prayers, cards, and support. She stated that the doctors are very optimistic about her long-term prognosis, then she added with a chuckle, "If we can just make it through this year!". Thanks for your continued prayers on her behalf.

Update (3/8/07) - Jeremy reports that Shonda did have her first chemotherapy treatment last week. Although the treatments did make her pretty sick for several days, she is feeling better now. She will have several more rounds of chemo every three weeks. He would like to thank everyone for their continued prayers.

Missouri District Auto-Care

With the upcoming NYC event in St. Louis this summer, Mark Hager, our district Auto-Care director, would like to have a district-wide Auto-Care week in the City. The district is sure to have some great exposure and most likely we will have a better chance to share the gospel to many folks that week. Mark will be organizing the administrative details, but he will need the interested men and women of the district to volunteer for working that week. He will need mechanics at all levels, set-up and clean-up volunteers, as well as folks to prepare and donate snacks. If anyone is interested in some sort of volunteer work that week, please contact him via email at pastor@crosshavencommunity.org. Start praying now!

If you would like to donate to their support you may send it to the Ferguson church marked for the McCoys. The McCoys also need to take these supplies with them and would appreciate any of the following items: Christian DVD movies, ChristianDVD devotional series, Christian educational DVDs, portable DVD players and cords, and PA equipment such as microphones, cords or speaker cables.
